"Cold Case Files"

Anyone and everyone who knows me at least kind-of knows that I LOVE crime shows. Not in the kind of way most of you passively enjoy crime shows. I almost only watch crime shows. If it were my choice my tv would only have A&E, TNT, USA, NBC, truTVand ABC. Between the 6 of those there is always a good crime show on. I must admit I favor original Law and Orders, but I do not discriminate. Unlike most of you passive crime show watchers I even watch perversions such as Criminal Intent and CSI: Miami. Though I will concede neither of these get me like Jack McCoy. I only take a break in crime shows when Timothy insists on watching some lame sporting event, or when Lost is showing new episodes. All of this brings me to this.

I grew up in a home where we never locked our doors. In fact we would leave the keys to our car IN our cars with the doors unlocked in our driveway. I always preferred running at night because it was cooler. I wasn't uncomfortable if I made a wrong turn when I lived in New Orleans and ended up on the wrong side of town. Until I got so into crime shows. Especially the true ones. With Tim's new unit he will be out of town more often than before. (of course I mean before Kuwait) I can see the opening of a cold case file now...

" It was an ordinary day for Denae Edington. She had just gotten a new job working at Ft. Eustis while she finished her nursing degree at a nearby college She had recently moved into a new apartment in the "safe" part of town. She was happily married to her husband Timothy Edington for almost 3 years. Things were ideal for this 23 year old. At least until the night of August 2, 2008 when the 'second floor rapist' found his way into her bedroom as she slept alone."

Maybe I should just change the channel?
